Illustrations made for the International Francophonie Day (March 20th), an anniversary that celebrates French language and culture around the world.
March 20th marked International Francophonie Day, an anniversary that celebrates French language and culture around the world.
This year, I wanted to illustrate words and I asked two members of Talents M (a collective of self-employed marketing contractors) to collaborate with me. They were each to suggest one word that made sense to them.
Here are our three French words illustrated in the colors of the collective:  “À l'unisson” - “Temps blanc” - “Souffle” .

“À l'unisson”: This means in harmony, together, in the same direction. That's what I feel when I think about the work we do in the collective. And it made me think of the geese that migrate to warmer climes as winter approaches. They fly in unison, together towards the same goal.
“Temps blanc”: Word-concept chosen by @Ania Ursulet, communications and marketing strategist. "Calming your inner space, reconnecting, reflecting, and refocusing."
“Souffle”: Word chosen by @Maryline Marti, founder of the Talents M Collective. “Soufle,” or breath, represents life, and all the little things we take in every day around us. They are magical little bubbles that float, intersect, burst, and give birth to new ideas.
